The GENUIN Story

In 2003, the young sound engineers at GENUIN took a bold step: at a time when the major classical music labels were cutting back or even ceasing production, they launched an exclusive label for their own classical music recordings.

Since then, the GENUIN label has developed from an insider tip among musicians to one of the best-known labels for classical music, with over 50 releases a year and a worldwide physical and digital distribution network for the recordings.

GENUIN has been represented on all major download and streaming platforms since 2010, and is exploring new pioneering forms of distribution with single releases and special marketing strategies.

Numerous awards such as the Echo and Opus Klassik, the German Record Critics' Award and the International Classical Music Award impressively confirm the outstanding quality of GENUIN recordings.

The Label Philosophy

GENUIN's recipe for success has not changed since the first CD: The entire production, i.e. advising the artists on recording space and repertoire, the preparation and realization of the recording, the editing with all necessary corrections, the design of the album and booklet up to the finished release is in the hands of the sound engineers and their team.

This gives the musicians the greatest possible freedom in the recording and design of their albums. At the same time, a consistently high quality of the releases can be guaranteed right up to the end.

GENUIN has also remained true to its repertoire: The label offers established artists as well as the up-and-coming generation the opportunity to record and release music according to their own ideas.
