Christian Junger, double bass, was born in Oberndorf, near Salzburg. He studied with Alfred Bürgschwendtner at the Mozarteum Salzburg and at the universities in Vienna and Graz.

He has worked in ensembles such as the RSO Vienna. Since 2000, he has been a permanent member of the Camerata Salzburg.
