Mikhail Nemtsov

Mikhail Nemtsov, cello, was born in St. Petersburg. After studying in St. Petersburg and Manchester, his solo career led him to musical collaborations with renowned orchestras such as the London Philharmonia Orchestra and the European Union Chamber Orchestra.

Many awards, including the Pierre Fournier Award, Rostropovich Memorial Competition, the RNCM Gold Medal and Associate Honorary Artist Title, and the London Mayor Award, round off his career.

He is currently the coordinated principal cellist with the Frankfurt Opera House and Museum’s Orchestra.
