Yan Zhang

Yan Zhang, violin, was born in Beijing, China. Her studies took her to Beijing, Shanghai, and Leipzig, where she studied with Roland Baldini.

She had successive temporary contracts with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and was the First Concertmaster of an orchestra in Upper Bavaria from 2006 to 2023. She was a member of several chamber orchestras in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

In 2013, she performed as a soloist at the Salzburg Festival (Children’s Opera).
