Cellist Anna Reisener devotes herself mainly to historically informed performance practice. Since completing her masters in historical perspective in Amsterdam (Viola de Hoog, Gideon den Herder), she now divides her time between Berlin and Basel.
In addition to a busy concert schedule with baroque orchestras and ensembles from Germany, Holland, Switzerland, and England
such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and The English Concert, she is also pursuing further studies in viola da gamba (Lea Rahel Bader). Full of curiosity, she explores the sound world of three historical low string instruments with her ensemble Trio Tiefklang.
Influenced by her church music background, and due to the strong orientation of early instrumental music towards singing and rhetoric, Anna Reisener particularly enjoys working on vocal music.
