Mathias Kiesling is currently one of the most sought-after flutists of his generation in the field of historical performance practice. He performs worldwide with the most renowned ensembles for early music, such as the Freiburger Barockorchester, Concerto
Köln, the Lautten Compagney BERLIN, and Das Neue Orchester, among others.
Born into the Bach tradition of his hometown of Leipzig, Mathias Kiesling now plays on historical flutes from three centuries. In addition, he devotes his time to the aesthetics of sound in audio recordings and reproduction, and works as a freelance sound engineer and developer of unconventional technical solutions in the field of recording and playback technology.
