Susanne Langner studied in Salzburg and Berlin. She has won several awards and been the finalist at multiple international competitions. As an internationally active soloist, she is equally in demand as an ensemble singer in the RIAS Kammerchor, Ensemble amarcord and Calmus Ensemble Leipzig.
She has performed as a soloist with conductors such as Václav Luks, Hans-Christoph Rademann, Helmuth Rilling and Ludwig Güttler, and with ensembles such as the Freiburger Barockorchester, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Lautten Compagney BERLIN, the Elbipolis Barockorchester, the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra and the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, as well as with the Thomanerchor Leipzig and the Dresdner Kreuzchor.
Together with Ludwig Böhme and the Leipzig Synagogalchor, Susanne Langner is committed to preserving and reviving both secular and sacred Jewish music. This undertaking was honored with the Obermayer German Jewish History Award in 2016. Since 2021 she has been on the board of directors for the Neue Bachgesellschaft.
