Born in Kazakhstan in 1991, pianist Valeriya V. Myrosh received her earliest music lessons from Valentina Nikishina at the age of six. She studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov Music School No. 1 in Donetsk with Tatjana A. Kim and then at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under Vladimir Krainev and Bernd Goetzke. Numerous prizes won at competitions paved the way to an international career, including First Prize accolades at the Krim Grand Prix for Young Virtuosos, the International Competition for Young Pianists in Donetsk and the Fourth International Horowitz Competition for Young Pianists in Kiev as well as Third Place at the International Franz Liszt Competition in Weimar.
