Oliver Fraenzke, born in Munich in 1995, studied piano privately with renowned Peruvian pianist Juan Jose Chuquisengo. He works on his concert programs under the guidance of Christoph Schlüren, with whom he studies the phenomenology of music developed by Celibidache. He previously studied piano with Elisabeth Prossel and trained in jazz piano with Rudolf Bürklein. Oliver Fraenzke has a strong commitment to unknown and new music, particularly from Nordic countries. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in musicology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. In addition, Fraenzke composes, works as a music journalist, and created the blog the-new-listener.de.
