Christian Sprenger is professor of trombone at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar. Following his studies at the University of Music Freiburg, a long association with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin as principle trombone led to his appointment in 2010 at the Weimar University of Music. In addition to his work as a teacher at the Weimar University of Music, he composes and arranges music for various combinations of instruments. His creative work focuses on the composition of choral fantasies for symphony orchestra, brass ensemble, and wind band. His musical roots lie in church music. Numerous CD productions centering on the theme choral have already been recorded by his brass ensemble genesis brass and appear under the genesis musikverlag label. Christian Sprenger is in demand as a guest lecturer in Germany and abroad and directs numerous workshops for trombone and chamber music.
