Yasushi Ideue is a violinist from Japan, who started learning the violin aged three at the Suzuki School of Shinichi Yamamoto. In Tokio he studied with Chikashi Tanaka and Gerhard Bosse, the concertmaster of the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester. He subsequently studied with Wolfgang Marschner and Rainer Kussmaul at the University of Music Freiburg, from which he graduated with distinction. Yasushi Ideue was awarded a special prize at the International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists. Immediately after completing his studies in Germany he became the concertmaster of the Baden-Baden Philharmonic. As part of his extensive concert tours, he has visited South Korea on numerous occasions with his chamber music ensemble “Symmetry” (musicians of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the SWR-Sinfonieorchester and the Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe). Further tours as a soloist and orchestra musician have taken him across Europe, Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain, as well as China. Together with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Yasushi Ideue has produced a large number of CDs.
