Regine Kofler
Born in Munich in 1971, Regine Kofler studied with Ragnhild Kopp at her native city’s Richard Strauss Conservatoire and furthered her studies as a scholarship recipient of the City of Munich to study at the Conservatoire National de Region Bordeaux with Marie Emanuelle Allant Dupuy and Catherine Denis as well as take master classes with Germaine Lorenzini in Lyon.
She also received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Scholarship Foundation and completed a graduate degree in music education at the Academy of Music Munich in 1994 and completed her solo performance degree (Konzertexamen) with distinction at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts Stuttgart with Prof. Therese Reichling.
Since 1994 she has regularly performed with orchestras and as a soloist with the Münchner Symphoniker, with the Orchestra of the Halle Opera House and with the European Symphony Orchestra. From 1994 to 1998 Regine Kofler was Solo Harpist with the ‘Junge Deutsche Philharmonie’ and from 1998 to 2003 was a member of the Hof Symphony Orchestra. She pursues a busy career as a concert artist with well-known conductors such as Marek Janowski, Ingo Metzmacher and Lothar Zagrosek as well as appearing at important concert venues in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart, at the Berliner Festwochen and at the London Proms.
She regularly appears in duo performances with various partners at many European music festivals including those in Zagreb and Cracow.
Regine Kofler has studied with Gabriella Bosio (Turin) to become the first instructor in German-speaking Europe trained to teach the harp according to the Suzuki method. Her many years working as an assistant to M.E.A. Dupuy as well as teaching harp in Kreuth and Brixlegg document her successful teaching career.
