Morgan Laplace Mermoud

Morgan Laplace Mermoud is a French percussionist who is openminded, passionately driven, and thus always seeking new sounds and willing to push his own thoughts to the limit in order to reach what he’s aiming for . He is as much associated with classical music ensembles as with a contemporary repertoire.

As a member of the la compagnie Les Insectes, he has been taking part in many creative and research projects, in particular in collaboration with the Ensemble intercontemporain, the IRCAM (Institute for Acoustic/Musical Research and Coordination) and the Maîtrise de Radio France. Also an avid orchestral player, Mermound performs regularly with various musical groups in Paris and around France.
