Heidi Steger’s artistic engagements are regularly associated with the Leipzig Opera, the Musikalische Komödie in Leipzig and the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau as well as the Chemnitz Opera and the Komische Oper and GRIPS Theater in Berlin. As an instrumentalist in works of contemporary music, she has performed, among others, in Michael Wolpe’s The Return of the Jackals and Winterreise by Hans Zender.
Heidi and Uwe Steger studied at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin from 1987 to 1994 and won numerous prizes at national and international competitions during that time. After their studies, both were scholarship holders at the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now” for several years.
