William Youn (piano) and Isabelle Catherine Vilmar (soprano) present a two-sided, dream-like program in the latest GENUIN CD by Movimentos Edition, featuring Romantic songs by Schumann and Schubert and transcriptions of these songs for piano by Franz Liszt. And to top it off with a major work, Schubert’s great Wanderer Fantasy. It’s thrilling to hear music that is the same and yet not the same. Miniature dramas with and without words performed by two young artists who carry away their listeners with their sound and expressive power – to the far-off lands of Romanticism. With colors and nuances that would have fulfilled the composers’ dreams, and fulfill our own as well.

"Fine and committed performances make this a rewarding disc. William Youn’s great sensibility as well as his transparent und dynamic playing give a terrific result."
