Sonatine
Two young musicians join together for a chamber music CD: inspired, the sounds of the flutist Atsuko Koga’s hover above the long lines and sweeping phrases of the cellist Georgiy Lomakov. Just like her partner, the Japanese flutist is the winner of numerous competitions and this CD is already their fourth production with GENUIN. Alongside the distinctive blend of duos by Mozart, Bach and Bozza are also solo pieces for the two instrumentalists. The two works for flute solo by Fuminor Tanada and Rika Suzuki are dedicated to Atsuko Koga and are world premiere recordings. Fascinating sounds, performed by two musicians playing music at the highest level!

"These players clearly enjoy working together and apart and blend their sounds well. There is enough new material here to make the release interesting to the collector"
