Alfred Böhm studied bassoon in Munich with Rainer Seidel, Karl Kolbinger and Achim von Lorne. Prior to that, Böhm was a member of the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra. He then completed various temporary appointments with orchestras before joining the Braunschweig State Orchestra in 1984 via the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker. Böhm also actively performs chamber music as a bassoonist and contrabassoonist.

Andreas Frese studied solo piano in Düsseldorf with Ria Goetze and collaborative piano (Lied) with Irwin Gage in Zurich. He pursued further studies with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Ferenc Rados, among others. As a highly sought-after Lieder accompanist and chamber musician, he regularly appears at important international music centers such as the Schubertiade Hohenems, the Salzburg Festival, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg or the National Concert Hall Dublin. He teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main.

Monja Heuler received formal instruction on keyboard and chromatic harmonica from the age of seven. She soon won First Prizes at international chromatic harmonica competitions. In 2017 and 2020 she successfully completed programs of study in her native Trossingen, Germany as well as studying chromatic harmonica, accordion, piano, and elementary music education. Monja Heuler’s concert tours have taken her to the Far East and she has performed as a soloist in numerous concerts and CD productions.

The clarinetist Oliver Klenk graduated with honors in Munich and Weimar in 2005. Since then he has regularly joined the Bavarian State Orchestra and Munich Chamber Orchestra on a temporary basis. Klenk has won several awards and appears in concert both in Europe and in Asia. As a co-founder of der/gelbe/Klang, Ensemble Zeitsprung and Ensemble Blauer Reiter, Klenk has been a dedicated champion of contemporary music since 2005.
