Eroica Berlin

Eroica Berlin, a chamber orchestra consisting of promising and talented young musicians from Berlin, was founded by Jakob Lehmann in 2015. The ensemble is unified by its desire to communicate unfiltered emotions as directly as possible whilst paying tribute to insights from historically-informed performance practice, and passionately believes that in today’s event and performance culture, it is imperative that the music itself and its message take center stage.

These young musicians consider themselves on an energetic and enthusiastic search for ways to give classical music a prominent place in today’s society equalling that which it enjoys in their own lives, and regard the Ehemaliges Stummfilmkino Delphi as their artistic home. In addition to this CD production, they have released Schubert symphonies and twentieth-century vocal works with bass-baritone Thomas Stimmel.
