Michael Seewann

A native of Munich, pianist Michael Seewann gave his debut as a soloist with an orchestra at the Herkulessaal in Munich when only eleven years old. A year later his first recording was released featuring music by Bedřich Smetana. Ever since, Michael Seewann has appeared in concert with orchestras, as a soloist, chamber music partner and accompanist performing repertoire from the Baroque all the way to contemporary music. His artistic ollaborations include working with Roman Nodel, Ulrike Anima-Mathe, Xenia Jankovic, Martin Dehning, the Nomos Quartet, the Kuss Quartet, the vocal ensemble “Die Drops” and the Emslandensemble. In addition to considerable musical insight gained through attending international master classes, Michael Seewann primarily
studied with Prof. Gitti Pirner in Munich, Prof. G. Sava in Berlin and Prof. G. Sebok in Bloomington, Indiana, and dditionally „Lied“ with Aribert Reimann and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. Concert engagements, invitations to festivals and recordings for radio and television broadcasters have regularly taken him to western and eastern Europe, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Chile and the United States.
