Vocalconsort Leipzig
The Vocalconsor t Leipzig has established its reputation based on its sensitive and vibrant renditions of sacred choral music from the Baroque to Romantic periods. In 2002 the ensemble was among the prize winners of the International Robert Schumann Choir Competition in Zwickau, Germany. The Vocalconsort Leipzig performs regularly in Leipzig’s Thomaskirche, the Gewandhaus and Dresden’s Kreuzkirche and performs at the Bachfest Leipzig. In 2007 the ensemble performed on its first CD with the querstand label featuring familiar and new arrangements of popular Christmas carols.
