Vladislav Krasnov was born in Kiev (Ukraine) and received early instruction on the viola at the age of five from his father at the College of Music of his native city. During this time he already appeared in many chamber music concerts in Ukraine and Poland. In 1991 he immigrated to Israel and took up studies at the Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University with Prof. Yuri Gandelsman, where he obtained a performance degree in 1997 with the highest honors. Vladislav Krasnov has performed together with many well-known orchestras, including the Israel Chamber Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and since 2000 has been a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Zubin Mehta. In 1999 he took part in the first “West-Eastern Divan” where he performed with Daniel Barenboim (piano) and Yo-Yo-Ma (cello).
