Henri Bonamy

Henri Bonamy entered the prestigious “Déclic” Program in 2006, created by Radio France to promote new talents, and has meanwhile established himself on today’s concert platform. A former student of Jacques Rouvier, Brigitte Engerer at the Conservatoirede Paris, of Dmitri Bashkirov at the Escuela Superior de Musica “Reina Sofia” in Madridand of Elisso Virsaladze at the Munich Hochschule für Musik, Henri is prize winner in numerousinternational piano competitions including Geneva; Erwin Nyiregyhazi in Japan;Alessandro Casagrande in Italy.
He obtained post-graduate Meisterklassenpodium in both conducting and piano at the Munich Hochschule as well as continuing his studies in conducting with Bruno Weil, and subsequently conducting the Münchner Symphoniker, the Saradshvili Orchestra in Tbilissi
with Elisso Virsaladze as soloist.
He has played in important concert halls all over Europe such as the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid; the Wienersaal of the Mozarteum in Salzburg; the Salle Cortot and Auditorium du Louvre in Paris; the Ateneum in Bucharest, and has also appeared with major orchestras under the direction of conductors such as Jesus Lopez-Cobos and Andrey Boreyko amongst others. He received “thunderous applause” for a “remarkably powerful, robust Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1” with the Hamburger Symphoniker (Ostsee Presse). Amongst his chamber music partners are Julia Fischer, Marina Chiche, Wen-Sinn Yang.
He is regularly invited to international festivals such as the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern; the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad; the Hong-Kong Festival; the Festival Chopin in Paris; and the Young Artists International in Los Angeles. His performances are also frequently broadcasted on France Musiques, Bavarian Radio 4 Classical. In 2007 he received
the EON Award for Culture.
