Philharmonisches Streichtrio Dresden

For seventeen years the Philharmonic String Trio Dresden has served as an ambassador for the internationally renowned Dresden Philharmonic and the cultural metropolis it calls home. The trio was formed in 1996 when the three members of the Dresden Phiharmonic met in rehearsals. Ever since, the Philharmonic String Trio Dresden has performed at important festivals and with many top-caliber chamber music partners such as Peter Rösel, the Gaede Trio, and Barbara Steude.
The trio is high in demand in Japan and South Africa especially, where they performed in partnership with the charitable CapeClassic Chamber Music Festival. In high demand as soloists and chamber music partners throughout the world, the ensemble maintains the great tradition of the Saxon school of string playing while pursuing new ideas and a wide variety of recital programs in order to present audiences with up-to-date performances in what is perhaps the most difficult combination of stringed instruments bridging chamber and solo playing.
