Noëmi Nadelmann
Soprano
The soprano Noëmi Nadelmann, who comes from an artistic family in Zurich, made her operatic debut as Musetta in La Bohème at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and is much in demand today as a guest artist at many great European opera houses, on the concert stage and as an oratorio singer.
Alongside her most brilliant roles of Violetta in La Traviata and Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow at the Hamburg State Opera, the German Opera in Berlin, the Zurich Opera House and the Vienna State Opera, she regularly enchants her public at the Bavarian State Opera, at the Comic Opera Berlin, in Amsterdam, Cologne and Berne, amongst other opera houses (as Armida in Rinaldo, as Alcina, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, as Manon, as Lucia di Lammermoor, as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, as Contessa Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, as Mimì in La Bohème and in many other roles). Moreover, she successfully made her debut as Musetta at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. In Tel Aviv she sang the role of the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier for the first time.
The conductors with whom Noëmi Nadelmann has worked include K. Masur, F. Welser- Möst, C. Eschenbach, C. Thielemann, B. de Billy, V. Fedoseyev, N. Harnoncourt, P. Schneider, S. Young, G. Albrecht, Y. Kreizberg and A. Fisch.
Alongside numerous radio and television productions, diverse CD recordings have also been produced.
Noëmi Nadelmann was awarded the Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Prize in 1997, presented by the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Foundation in recognition of her artistic achievements.
