Advent is a time of reflection, of anticipation, of charity. In Leipzig's Waldstraßenviertel, where GENUIN has its offices and studios, the idea of a lively Christmas calendar has established itself, in which residents of the district can get to know each other a little and present each other with music.
Every day at 6 p.m. a resident or a business opens its doors and lets something Christmassy ring out and then often invites the listeners to a get-together with food and drink.
On 9 December, GENUIN also opened its doors and welcomed over 70 neighbours of the district. At 6 p.m. we let the songs "Tochter Zion" and "Macht hoch die Tür" of the MDR Rundfunkchor sound through the opened windows and received afterwards all interested people in our rooms and gave away Christmas CDs.
These impressions show moments of the cosy evening at the lively Advent calendar. We thank the Waldstraßenviertel e.V. for this great idea!
