Winners of the 68th ARD Music Competition publish 2020 on GENUIN
Among the winners of the ARD Music Competition in Munich, which has just ended, are three GENUIN artists! Drummer Kai Strobel was able to celebrate twice after the finale. For the "strength of his voice on the instrument, his incredible technique and work ethic" he received the first prize, endowed with 10,000 euros. He was also able to convince the audience with his interpretation of Frozen in time by Avner Dorman and also won the Audience Award. The drummer was already involved in a
GENUIN recording with Simon Höfele and will release his solo CD on GENUIN in 2020.
In addition, bassoonist Theo Plath won 3rd prize. The prizewinner won the German Music Competition in 2018 and will be released by GENUIN in the Primavera series in February 2020.
Cellist Friedrich Thiele is the 2nd prizewinner and Audience Award winner of the ARD Music Competition. As winner of the German Music Competition 2019, he will record his solo CD with GENUIN at the beginning of 2020.
