Today is the final of a total of four successful recording days for the CD production awarded to the Aris Quartet. Beethoven's string quartets Op. 131 and Op. 59/3, which the four musicians recorded in the Festeburgkirche in Frankfurt, were on the program. The CD is part of the special GENUIN award of the ARD International Music Competition, in which the string quartet also won four other prizes.
The special GENUIN award has been awarded since 2015 and the prize-winning CDs appear as part of the company's ARD-Musikwettbewerb Edition. Last year, GENUIN released the CD of the prizewinning soprano Emalie Savoy. The recording featuring the Aris Quartet will be released in September 2017.
