The violinist Tobias Feldmann won the fourth place of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. Tobias Feldmann was among the twelve finalists who performed at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels from 25 to 30 May, placing fourth behind Ji Young Lim, Oleksii Semenenko and William Hagen. The 24-year-old violinist has already won several awards for his achievements. Already in 2012 he won the German Music Competition and subsequently recorded his debut CD with GENUIN.
The Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels is one of the world's most important music competitions. Since 1937, the most outstanding talents are chosen in the disicplines of violin, piano and voice. Only one of these categories is held each year. In addition, a composition competition has been held regularly since 1991. The competition is the brainchild of the Belgian violinist Eugène Ysaÿe.
