The Amaryllis Quartet won two prizes at the 6th Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition 2011 - 1st Prize and the Grand Prize which enables the Quartet to perform concerts at such venues as Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Melbourne Recital Centre. Just a few weeks ago, the Quartet also won the Finalists' Prize at this year's Premio Paolo Borciani String Quartet Competition in Italy with which the three finalists of the renowned competition were honoured.
The Amaryllis Quartet will issue their first CD in October 2011, released by GENUIN. Further joint projects have been planned.
