Since its inception more than 30 years ago, the German Music Competition has become Germany’s premier forum for promising young classical musicians. Germany’s finest young talent perform in the competition for a jury featuring internationally respected musicians. For almost 30 years, the prize award has also included the opportunity to record a professionally produced CD in the highly respected "Edition Primavera" series.
Since the beginning of 2007, it has been GENUIN’s honor to produce four recordings in the “Edition Primavera” series showcasing the First Prize winners of the German Music Competition and release them in cooperation with Deutschlandradio Kultur and the Deutscher Musikrat.
Other CDs are being planned or have already been recorded and are due out soon. They include a solo CD featuring Johannes Fischer, percussionist and First Prize winner of the international ARD Competition, as well as a recording by the internationally successful recorder ensemble “Quartet New Generation.”
