The first concert of the series “Freshly Pressed – Concerts under the Dome” was an overwhelming success. The atmospherically illuminated dome-hall was organised for 100 guests, but ultimately over 150 were counted – and no one had reason to regret coming.
The Heine Quartet played Schumann and Brahms in an indescribably gripping manner; Tobias Wolff’s moderation was competent and interesting. “That was the best I’ve ever heard in the dome-hall,” enthused the Director of the Dresdner Bank Leipzig after the concert.
Many guests remained at the friendly reception afterwards until late in the night, enjoying the end of the evening with champagne, wine and stimulating conversation.
