Last Sunday, 08.10.2023, recorder player Max Volbers was awarded the OPUS KLASSIK 2023 in the Konzerthaus Berlin for his debut CD "Whispers of Tradition". He receives the award in the category Young Talent of the Year.
The gala was hosted by Désirée Nosbusch and was broadcasted on ZDF from 10:45pm. Max Volbers had a joint performance with the ensemble Capella de la Torre during the gala. They played a Monteverdi medley.
In addition, Max Volbers was awarded the Audience Award by WELT AM SONNTAG. Editor-in-chief Jennifer Wilton handed over the award at the end of the OPUS KLASSIK Gala. Readers were able to vote for their favorite among the six candidates who received an OPUS KLASSIK as a Young Talent during the period Sept. 15-24, 2023.
