A diverse, coherent and at the same time epoch-spanning programme of piano music - that was the aim of Luxembourg pianist Cathy Krier for her debut album. Works by Scarlatti, Haydn and Chopin are not to be missed. Two contemporaries also enrich the programme. The virtuoso has been working on the composition Night Music by her friend and composer Alexander Müllenbach for a long time and has recorded it for the first time on her album. Her fascination with the rarely performed piano sonata by Henri Dutilleux was so great that it forms the conclusion of the solo piano programme.
