The wings of fantasy, paired with a sense of tonal color, keen dramaturgy and a sense of style: All this distinguishes the new GENUIN CD by flutist Anna Garzuly-Wahlgren, on which she has compiled Baroque solo works for her instrument. There are not only well-known works of great Baroque composers, but also a "Suite imaginaire" composed in the spirit of the times with rarely performed works by Johann Martin Blochwitz, a friend of Johann Sebastian Bach. This production by the associate principal flute of the Gewandhaus cannot be praised enough: highest marks for repertoire and performance!
