Piano Trios
By L. v. Beethoven, K. Armstrong, J. Haydn and F. Liszt
The three musketeers: that was how members of a legendary piano trio including Arthur Rubinstein called themselves in the early 20th century. Three young musicians are now about to conquer the musical world with the same verve. As soloists, Brendel pupil Kit Armstrong, violinist Andrej Bielow (Szymanowski Quartet) and Brendel's son Adrian are already in great demand internationally. And the level with which they are now taking their place on the piano-trio stage, with the new Movimentos CD issued by GENUIN, allows us to expect great things from them. Fiery Beethoven, intimate Haydn, Liszt that makes time stand still and a work of scintillating esprit by Kit Armstrong himself are the best visiting cards that they can give.
American Record Guide
"Here again the musicianship is admirable and engaging, though I find the Beethoven in particular best rewards numerous hearings."
