The Accordion Player Viviane Chassot Receives the Swiss Ambassador’s Award 2015
The Swiss Embassy in London has awarded the "Swiss Ambassador's Award" to the Swiss accordion player Viviane Chassot. The prize includes concerts throughout the United Kingdom - in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast - in the autumn of 2015. Together with the cellist David Pia, who also received the award, she will be appearing at the famous Wigmore Hall in London.
Since 1998, the Swiss Ambassador's Award has been given to promising young Swiss musicians who dedicate themselves to the performance of contemporary music.
Viviane Chassot's current recording "New Horizons" (GEN 14315) features works by Stefan Wirth, Heinz Holliger, Rudolf Kelterborn, Bernhard Lang and Helena Winkelman.
