Beatrice Voellmy
Soprano
Beatrice Voellmy received violin instruction from Herbert Scherz in Lucerne and subsequently studied voice with Kurt Widmer at Basel’s Hochschule für Musik. She earned a degree in violin performance at the Conservatoire de Genève with Ursula Buckel. She has attended master classes given by Juliette Bise, Edith Mathis and Hans-Joachim Beyer, and works with composers including Balz Trümpy and Hans Martin Linde. Beatrice Voellmy has been featured with artists such as Michael Corbon on various CD recordings. She is a member of the Mondnacht Ensemble Basel. She focuses on repertoire from the Baroque period and New Music works. Beatrice Voellmy also teaches voice.
